Wakefield school reassures parents after staff member asked to self-isolate

Kingsland School, in Stanley, sent a letter home to parents yesterday (Thursday, March 12) to inform them at a member of staff had been advised to self-isolate.

Hide Ad"The member of staff is now showing any symptoms and is following public health advice.
"There is currently no information to suggest there is any increased health risk to any pupils or staff at the school and, following advice from Public Health, the school is open as normal.
"The school is following national guidance and all liaising with all relevant bodies."
The school remains "fully open to all pupils", she added.

Hide AdAt the time of writing, a total of 798 cases of the new coronavirus, known as Covid-19, had been confirmed in the UK.
There have been no confirmed cases in Wakefield.
