Medicinal cannabis user is jailed
Jack Liam Duree, 23, from Castleford was already serving a suspended sentence for another matter when police were called to his home in August of last year, Leeds Crown Court was told.
They had attended over a domestic dispute but when they arrived they found bags of cannabis around the property amounting to more than two ounces.

Hide AdThey also found scales, small bags and cash, however, they said there was not enough evidence to support a charge of drug dealing, prosecutor Jessica Randell said.
Duree, of Tees Close, admitted a charge of possession of the drugs, and breach of a suspended sentence.
He has previous convictions for driving while banned, and was sentenced to 15 months' jail, suspended for two years, last year for robbery and criminal damage.
The court heard how Duree was part of a group that attacked a person in a shop and then robbed from the premises.

Hide AdMitigating, Glenn Parsons said: "It's known that he has ADHD and although it's not legal, there's a body of opinion to say that it does help alleviate the stresses it brings on.
"It's not a defence but it gives you an explanation.
"Somebody of his difficulties would find it hard (going into custody)."
Judge Neil Clark activated part of this suspended sentence, ordering him into custody for eight months.
