Police investigate sex assault in Wakefield park

Police are investigating allegations of a serious sexual assault in a Wakefield park at the weekend.

The incident happened in Thornes Park on Saturday night at around 10.30pm.

An area of the park was cordoned off yesterday with a police presence seen in the park.

It has since been removed but enquiries are ongoing.
