School closed after power failure set to reopen this afternoon
A school that was closed this morning (Tuesday) due to a utility failure is set to reopen at 1pm.
Wakefield Council said Altofts Junior School was closed to all pupils this morning as there was no electricity in school.
But it said power came back on on mid-morning and the school was due to re-open at 1pm.
