Teenager in critical condition after incident at Castleford level crossing
Emergency services were called to the level crossing near Albion Street, Castleford yesterday evening and a 17-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “Our officers were called to a level crossing near Castleford shortly before 6pm on Wednesday, August 20 after reports a person had been hit by a train.

Hide Ad“Colleagues from West Yorkshire Police and Yorkshire Ambulance Service also attended. A 17-year-old boy was taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
“The incident is not currently being treated as suspicious.”
